Passavant Community Celebrates 10th Anniversary of the Abundant Life Center Posted on August 2, 2024August 2, 2024 This week, Passavant Community marked the joyous 10th anniversary of the Abundant Life Center. Opened in 2014, the Center replaced the community’s original “Olde Main” building, which had stood since 1907. This significant transformation heralded a new approach to care for Lutheran SeniorLife, emphasizing holistic, compassionate service and an enriched living experience. The 220,000-square-foot Abundant Life Center features independent residential apartments, nursing and personal care apartments, as well as a restaurant, a fitness center, and a pool. Designed as a series of neighborhoods, the Center offers residents a unique blend of comfort, care, and community. “From the very beginning, the Abundant Life Center has been about more than just bricks and mortar. It is about creating a vibrant community where residents can thrive and feel truly at home,” said Laura Roy, executive director of Passavant Community. The 10th anniversary of the Abundant Life Center celebrated the past decade and reaffirmed Passavant Community’s dedication to offering an abundant life to all of its residents. Attendees of the celebration echoed Roy’s feelings as they enjoyed delicious food, shared experiences, and expressed gratitude for the exceptional care and strong sense of community they have experienced over the years.
