Christmas Comes to Passavant

Passavant Community welcomed the holiday season last week with its annual Abundant Lights Christmas Festival.

Residents, family members, friends, staff and the surrounding community of Zelienople and beyond came together to celebrate the season and raise money for the benevolent care fund, which supports residents who have outlived their financial resources.

Festival-goers were treated to beautiful lights and decorations throughout the campus landscape, as well as musical entertainment, children’s activities, a basket raffle, horse carriage rides, a photo booth, train display, gingerbread house contest and plenty of season refreshments.

Luminaries were lit all over campus in honor or memory of loved ones, and their names were read in a special tribute ceremony in Scholl Conference Center.

“The Abundant Lights Festival was a resounding success,” said Laura Roy, executive director, Passavant Community. “Thank you to all who generously supported our residents through benevolent care.”
