LIFE Butler County Expands to Serve More Participants

A long year of planning and construction at LIFE Butler County has come to an end. The newly expanded space, which increases the participant capacity from 50 to 107, is open and in use.

Marla Frailey, director of LIFE Butler County, is excited about the new expansion. “We will be able to grow and serve more members of Butler County, enabling them to live an Abundant Life®,” she said.

LIFE means Living Independence for the Elderly. This innovative health plan provides care and services which allow eligible seniors to live safely in their own homes, instead of a nursing facility. This is achieved by helping them manage their complex medical, functional and social needs through a full range of medical, social and rehabilitation services, both at home and at the LIFE center.

“The coordination of services provided helps participants feel better, get back into normal routines and become themselves again,” Frailey said.

The expansion includes a larger dining space, a personal care room, a spa tub, office space, restrooms and a larger staff lounge.
