Anointing & Appreciation Program

When: Wednesday, May 09, 2018 -
3:00pm to 5:30pm
Where: St. John's Lutheran Church of Highland - 311 Cumberland Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237

Please join the Southwestern Pennsylvania Synod and Lutheran SeniorLife for an afternoon of renewal and inspiration in honor of the people who make health and wellness ministry a part of congregations throughout the region.

The program will begin with a worship service in the sanctuary of St. John's, where Bishop Kurt F. Kusserow will preside. Worship will include Holy Communion and the opportunity to be blessed and anointed with oil.

Immediately following worship, we will recognize health ministry volunteers and health care professionals for their hard work and dedication. (It is no accident that this event falls during National Nurses Week!)

Even if you are not directly involved in health ministry, your presence can be a blessing to the individuals who strive to improve the health of our congregations and communities.

The afternoon will conclude with a reception in Highland Hall, which is adjacent to the sanctuary.

During the reception, take advantage of our mini resouce fair! Learn how Lutheran SeniorLife's services can benefit you and other members of your congregation. See what's available in the Synod Resource Center for your ministry. Chat with staff from the Pittsburgh Mercy Parish Nurse & Health Ministry Program about the training and resources they offer.

Plan to walk away motivated for ministry!

Please RSVP by Friday, May 4th to Health & Wellness Ministry Coordinator Patty Davidson at (412) 367-8222 or
