My Day Out Open House

When: Wednesday, May 03, 2017 -

Where: Passavant Community, Abundant Life Center

Join us for a tour of My Day Out, an adult day support program.

My Day Out gives seniors living at home a place to come and spend the day socializing with friends and much more. Other services include:

  • nutritious breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack
  • medication management
  • assistance with obtaining required therapies in the outpatient gym
  • physicians appoints at Passavant's clinic
  • personal care assistance
  • assistance to beauty or barber appointments
  • social service assistance

2017 Excellence is Ageless Gala

Where: Heinz Field, East Club Lounge

You are cordially invited to join us in honoring Mark Nordenberg, chancellor emeritus of the University of Pittsburgh, at the Excellence is Ageless Gala.

The Excellence is Ageless Award celebrates the spirit and vitality of individuals 55 years and older who have made significant contributions to the community through profession, service, philanthropy or leadership. 

The evening includes a reception and silent auction, featuring several original art pieces created by residents, friends and staff of Lutheran SeniorLife, beginning at 6 p.m. Dinner and the award presentation will follow at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $200 per person, and can be purchased by calling (724) 453-6014.

Proceeds benefit Lutheran SeniorLife benevolent care, which supports our residents who have outlived their financial resources.

Grief Education and Support Classes

Please join us for VNA's free series of Grief Education and Support Classes. Participants will have the chance to get advice from grief specialists, share your experiences, connect with others who have experienced loss and discuss topics customized to the group's interests and needs.

Health and Wellness Fair

Center at the Mall Art Exhibit

We are pleased to present our 5th Annual Expressions Juried Art Show! 

A "Meet the Artists" reception will be held from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on March 30th.

This is an opportunity to enjoy the work of local artists and for artists in and around the area to showcase their talents and have their work juried for cash awards. All types of artwork are accepted, and artists in a variety of categories will be recognized.

To enter your art, you must reserve your space no later than March 24th. Entry fees for art are $5 per piece or $20 for five pieces. Payment is due upon registration. All art must be delivered to the Center at the Mall no later than 7 p.m. on March 28th. Selling art is permitted.

Reflective Pastoral Training and Care Course

This seven-week course is ideal for pastors, church visitors and other Christians interested in improving or gaining "helping" skills and/or visiting with congregation members or other individuals in need of emotional or spiritual support. Navigating the World of Medicare and Medicaid

LIFE Programs Purse Bash

Black Tie Bingo Gala

When: Saturday, February 11, 2017 - 5:00pmWhere: The Fez, Hopewell Township

Mark your calendars for the 2017 Black Tie Bingo Gala in celebration of Lutheran Service Society's 110 years of serving seniors in Beaver and Allegheny Counties.

Tickets are $40 per person and include dinner and entertainment. Six bingo games will be called by local celebrities. Cash prizes will be awarded for each game. In addition, beautiful baskets will be up for auction. Proceeds benefit Lutheran Service Society.

Grief Support Classes

Elder Law Boot Camp for Social Workers
